Join Derby Hills for Skate Night at Roller City! A portion of proceeds are donated to benefit the school. This event is the perfect affordable, family-friendly event as it only costs $5 for kids and parents get in free.
Come join Derby Hills on January 24, 6-8PM, for a Father-Daughter Dance in the cafeteria and Mother-Son Dodgeball Tournament in the gym.
The Battle of the Books is a voluntary reading program for 3rd-5th graders, where students form teams of 4-6 to read from a curated list of 28 books and compete in trivia-style contests based on the books.
Derby Hills Elementary is taking sign-ups for Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students). We invite fathers, grandfathers, uncles, or other father figures to volunteer at least one day at their child's/student’s school during the school year to provide positive male role models for students.
The Derby Hills Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) works together to support our teacher and student population and encourage family engagement within the school and community.

The Kansas School Safety Hotline, 1 (877) 626-8203, can be used to anonymously report any potential school violence. The Kansas School Safety Hotline is there for you 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
Virtual Backpack, is a great way to stay informed and up-to-date with the happenings at your child's school.
All schools also utilize a visitor management system, called SafeVisitor, to enhance school entrance security, streamline the check-in process and help us to be aware of everyone in our schools.
